Today, we are welcoming Zach Stein, Co-Founder and CEO of Carbon Collective. Carbon Collective is the first online investment advisor 100% focused on climate change. They help invest in savings, whether they be for retirement or a more near-term goal like buying a house, into diversified, low-fee, climate-focused portfolios.
Originally, Zach Stein was the CEO and Co-Founder of Osmo Systems, an agro-tech firm that provides hydroponic and aquaculture farmers with all-in-one monitoring and control systems at a reasonable price. He has been immersed in the emerging convergence of technology and agriculture since graduating from Hamilton College. Zach believes that as our climate grows more unpredictable, we will need to use the most technological instruments to feed the world's growing population and combat food insecurity.
As a result, Zach has been working to bring his company's flagship product, the OsmoBot, to market since late 2012. Zach hopes to lower the scientific and financial barriers to entry for sophisticated farms that can remain sustainable and lucrative in a changing climate with his business partner, Paul Holowko.
