HSBC Can Afford to Pay Women and Men Equally

HSBC is a huge bank that has had a vast wage gap for years. In the U.K. units of the bank, women's bonus checks are, on average, 70% less than their male counterparts' and this is considered an improvement from last year's figures. Last year, the gap in bonus checks was 85% and before that it was even worse. While it is good that there was some improvement in HSBC's policies, there is still a lot of work to be done. Women earn, on average, about 55% less than men in their annual compensation and then, when bonus checks come in, they earn 70% less. Frankly, it's disrespectful. These statistics are ridiculous and HSBC needs to be held accountable for them.

Ask HSBC to eliminate their wage gap faster and start giving women the respect they deserve.
