General Motors: Stop Offering Leather Interiors

Dear General Motors,

We are the Adviser to ethical investment products. The key themes across all products are the avoidance of companies which are having negative impacts on the environment, and the avoidance of companies which exploit or contribute to the exploitation of animals.

We are concerned as we have noticed that most of the vehicles you produce contain interiors that are predominantly leather.

Animal products have been shown to be a leading contributor to environmental damage and involve the tremendous exploitation of the animals themselves.

We would appreciate your prompt response to outline what measures you plan to adopt to mitigate the animal exploitation and negative environmental impacts we have identified as part of your company’s operations.

We look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.
