State Street: Prohibit Queer Discrimination
Protect the right to live life without discrimination as a queer person.
In 28 US states, you can be fired for being lesbian, gay, or bisexual. In 30 states, you can be fired for being transgender. There are "license to discriminate" laws in 9 further states. No one should be fired based on their identity, or denied service for who they are. The US is not providing legal protection, but companies can still maintain the human right.
State Street manages $3 trillion in assets, so it has an extremely powerful voice in the companies it owns. State Street also represents your money: ensure they don't support companies that discriminate against queer people when you don't.
